ABOUT ANNABEL

Who are you?

Sometimes that can feel like an impossible question.

Maybe you just don’t know anymore.
Maybe you don’t much like who you are at the moment.

Maybe you’ve heard so much from other people about who they think you are - that you can no longer hear the sound of your own voice.

Annabel Smith Ruins

When I went through a life crisis a few years ago I found myself collecting photographs - travels, new adventures, inspiring people and places. Times when I felt most like me.

I cleared a space above a little desk in the spare room and stuck them on the wall. I felt guilty and vain, but some stubborn part of me insisted.

It was right, the stubborn, feisty part that usually stays quiet and out of the way.

I was the person in those photographs - all over the world, being fabulous. Remembering the person I had been then kept the essence of me alive, even though most of me felt broken and wanted to hide.

What are the photographs you’d put on your wall?

THIS IS ME TODAY

I’m Annabel

I’m in my element. Coaching lets me draw on all my years of experience, listening and learning.
It’s work that is purposeful and full of possibilities. There’s laughter and sometimes tears.

My job is to be a thinking partner for you. I’ll also be your champion and your cheerleader, your confidante and confidence-builder – and also your challenger and your critical friend.

I’ll help you stay with it and be ambitious, because I know you can be so much more than you think you can.

I’ve seen it happen again and again.
